2019 Pantone Color of the Year - mid year review
Living Coral
Every year Pantone predicts what the color of the year in design trends for the upcoming year. This announcement was made in late December. Most people check it, talk about it for a couple of days, then forget it.
As people are getting ready to list their homes for sale this time of year, I get asked for advice on everything from how to arrange furniture to what color of paint to paint a room. I keep up on the latest design trends so I can use that information in advising clients on matters of décor and home staging.
From Pantone regarding their color this year:

Last year’s color was ultraviolet and was perfect for table runners, accent pillows, and accent rugs.
This year’s color is complementary to neutral tones and can really make a small room like a bathroom or bonus room shine. Living Coral gives a natural feel with organic materials like granite and travertine. Pair it with living or cut flowers in a well lit area to bring out their natural beauty .
